Deborah L. Roden

Deborah “Debb” Roden became a Partner with Woodhouse Roden, LLC in 2009. Prior to joining the firm, Debb clerked for Magistrate Beaman, United States Federal Magistrate Judge, allowing Debb hands-on legal experience from the judicial perspective. Debb has experience in complex federal court cases, in both the criminal and civil arenas. Debb also enjoys a broad state court practice in these areas. Debb was selected to attend the prestigious and exclusive Trial Lawyers College spearheaded by legendary trial lawyer Gerry Spence. During this opportunity Debb expanded her litigation skills with forward-thinking and cutting-edge trial techniques and continues to collaborate with top lawyers from all over the country who are also alumni of the Trial Lawyers College.

Debb has a good rapport with the Judges in both the federal and state courts. She has a reputation for excellent work, including a reputation of success in the area of land use, including subdivision, zoning, and covenant enforcement.

Tara Brooke Nethercott

Tara Nethercott is an associate with Woodhouse Roden, LLC. Tara’s practice is focused primarily on civil litigation, land use issues, personal injury, and criminal defense. Prior to joining Woodhouse Roden, LLC, she attended the University of Wyoming College of Law where she was actively involved and served as president of the law school. As an intern with the United States Attorney’s Office and the Federal Public Defender, Tara appeared before the United States District Court for Wyoming advocating in a variety of criminal matters as well as writing appellate briefs to the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals. As a summer associate in private practice Tara was involved in complex civil litigation concerning traumatic personal injury and land use issues involving condemnation.

Coming from a pioneering Wyoming family, Tara is excited about being in the Cheyenne community and serving the people of Wyoming with such a dynamic and prominent law firm.

Janae Ruppert

Janae Ruppert is an associate with Woodhouse Roden, LLC.  Prior to joining Woodhouse Roden, LLC, she attended the University Of Wyoming College Of Law where she was selected for the Student Director position of the Defender Aid Program for the 2009-2010 school year. As Student Director of the Defender Aid Program, Janae appeared before the United States District Court for Wyoming and the Wyoming Supreme Court arguing on several criminal matters, as well as writing appellate briefs to both the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court. As a summer intern in the Public Defender’s Trial Division office in Cheyenne, Janae was involved in trial preparation and research on a wide variety of criminal defense cases.  During law school, Janae participated in the school’s mock trial competition and was actively involved in several of the law school’s clubs and organizations.  Janae also served as the LexisNexis Legal Research Representative for the 2008-2009 school years. 

Janae is a native of Cheyenne, Wyoming and is excited to return and begin building her career with such a prestigious law firm in this great community.
